RAFTING APURIMAC RIVER CLASS III & IV 3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS
Rafting Apurimac River
Raft some of the most turbulent whitewater available to nonprofessionals in the scenic and uninhabited Apurimac River. The Apurimac is rated, by those who know, among the world's 10 best rivers to run for its variety of rapids and nice climate. Adventures Tours Peru.The Apurimac-Ucayali-Amazon River is the longest river in the world, but too turbulent to be useful like the Nile . The name of the river may mean God Talking, or Thunder under the mountain.
DAY 1 CUSCO -HUALLPACHACA
At 9:00 AM we head out to the Huallpachaca Bridge at an altitude of 2000 masl, about 5 hours south east of Cusco. After lunch our guide gives us safety instructions followed by a demonstration of the equipment, and they also will give you a basic Rescue Course for this kind of river. We will raft for 1 ˝ hours on Class II and III rapids. Then we will set up camp on one of the beautiful beaches of the Apurimac River and rest for the evening

DAY 2 CUSCO- APURIMAC
After a healthy breakfast we pack up the camp, and head off to begin rafting down Class III and IV rapids, stopping only for lunch. We may also walk some dangerous Class VI Rapids (that are impossible to run). Then we will set up the tents and rest.

DAY 3 APURIMAC RIVER - CUSCO
After a good breakfast we raft down some Class III, IV and V rapids (The famous Class V - Toothache). After 5 hours we end our adventure at the Kunyac Bridge. We will have a barbecue lunch and then we will return to Cusco, arriving there at around 6:00 PM. In the evening we can enjoy the video of our trip in one of the pubs in Cusco.
